There are two ways to apply the fertilizer to your houseplants. The most efficient method is to fertilize during repotting as this will deliver nutrients to the root zone quicker and you will achieve a faster plant response. However, if your plant is not ready for a repotting, you can also apply the nutrients as a top dressing.
Repotting houseplantsApply 1-2 tablespoons of fertilizer per gallon of soil to your fresh potting mix prior to repotting.
Top Dress Nutrient Deficient Soil
Sprinkle the fertilizer on top of the soil and lightly coat the surface. Then scratch it in and follow the application with a thorough watering.
